You'll have to be mindful to handle utility knife or a wet tile saw. And patient to smooth mortar evenly, yet with grooves. You'll need several hours, determined by the size of the floor, and when the floor is a bathroom and you have kids, another bathroom that they'll use might be convenient, as a couple of hours are necessary to dry.
You'll require the title, of course. Your choice of design is completely your own, but consider how a design will fit in with all the remaining part of the area. Consider, also, the room's function. Kitchen floors are always subjected to water and food drips. Dark ceramic tile flooring would tend to make seeing these falls more challenging when you're mopping the floors. While darker tile with uncomplicated patterns go finest in toilets light, solid colors are most appropriate for kitchen floors.
When you have your tile, you can pre-cut tiles which will be placed at the borders of the floor if the tile is too large. You may also cut the tile while you're playing it, but then you might have to be sure you haven't laid down the mortar until you've made the necessary cuts. The mortar which is only partly dried might not bond with all the tile when you set it.
You'll also need grout and mortar, to set your ceramic tile flooring. All these are often bought at any given hardware or home improvement store. You may also use spacers which separate each other in an even manner and the tiles.
