Large Format Porcelain Floor Tiles - Ceramic or porcelain tile flooring is very durable and an excellent investment in your house. Tiles will continue forever if they have been taken care of, and almost never wear out.
You will need to remove all the molding and baseboards. Remove any existing floor coverings, carpeting, or wooden floorings. Clean the subfloor it is free of dust and debris. Make sure that the floor is tough and stable. Install cement backer board onto the floor that was stabilized and at each floor joist screw, the backer board in with 2 inches galvanized screws. The old flooring will need to be disposed of, and most rubbish services do not pick up such items.
Work with a chalk line to mark two lines that intersect in the middle of the place. Make sure the lines are square to each other (90 degrees). Look at the way the tiles are ordered; you need as many entire tiles in the middle as you can. Fiddle with the tile until you are happy with the way they're positioned.
Use thin set to hold your tiles in position. Use a notched trowel. Distribute the thin-set simply to as far as you can comfortably reach and lay a tile. Install your tiles into the inset using a firm downward pressure. Don't forget to put spacers between the tiles. You can harness the tile gently to make certain that it's in place. Border tiles and the cut tiles are installed last.
